Welcome
Quiet Acts of Healing is your space to slow down, support your health naturally, and reconnect with what truly nourishes you, one small habit at a time.
Nearly 90% of healthcare spending goes toward treating disease after it happens. But true healing begins long before that, with the small choices we make every day.
Small daily habits are the compound interest of health.
I’m Mary Ann, a registered nurse, award-winning tea specialist, and lifelong student of nature’s healing. I share practical, evidence-based tips on health, habits, medicinal herbs, and lifestyle.
I’ve spent years in hospitals and learned that real wellness isn’t found in a pill. It’s found in the rhythms of daily life, in how we nourish ourselves, and in how we care for our spirit.
This newsletter combines science-backed insights, medicinal herbal traditions, and nature-based practices to help you feel less stressed and whole again. It’s for anyone tired of quick fixes, endless supplements, and wellness hacks and ready for something slower and more intentional.
Because wellness isn’t something you buy, it’s something you live.
The power of small wellness habits
Small habits, done consistently, are the compound interest of health. Your morning tea, the herbs in your food, and how you move are quiet acts of healing that build vitality over time. It’s a way of being.
Everything is connected—your body, mind, emotions, relationships, and spirit. These are the pillars of health. True healing happens in the small daily choices we make. At Quiet Acts of Healing, I focus on these 1% shifts that lead to lifelong wellness.
When you subscribe, you receive one weekly habit toward natural wellness—one small, meaningful shift at a time in my ✨ 1% Better Mondays series.
At Quiet Acts of Healing, we’re not just sipping tea but creating daily wellness habits. We’re saying no to endless pills, chronic fatigue, and a broken healthcare system.

About my journey
With 40+ years in health and wellness, I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise and holistic wisdom. As a former critical care and emergency nurse (CCRN), educator, and tea business owner, I’ve studied the science and explored ancestral plant-based traditions.
This rare perspective helps me guide you in finding safe, natural options that complement conventional care, so you can feel empowered in every aspect of your healing journey.
I spent years in the ICU, surrounded by ventilators and grief, fighting for lives already slipping away. It broke my heart, but it woke me up. Health shouldn’t begin in crisis. It begins in the quiet: in the tea you sip, the herbs you grow, the daily walks you take.
I left traditional medicine to create a healthy tea business (you can read about it here). I began writing to educate more people. I’ve seen what happens when we ignore our bodies and our spirit.
The truth is, our system isn’t working —60% of Americans now live with chronic illness. One in three relies on multiple prescriptions. This isn’t normal; it’s the cost of a system that treats symptoms rather than root causes.
I was trained in the Western model of crisis care. It saves lives, but it doesn’t teach people how to thrive. Quiet Acts of Healing is here for that.
Genetics matter, but lifestyle and environment shape our health far more than we’ve been taught. And that’s exactly where we begin.
Join me each week for healing stories, practical guidance, and a steady path to balance.
