Walking is man’s best medicine.
— Hippocrates
Good Morning Monday!
Can you walk your way to health? Absolutely!
Summer has arrived here at the shore—a perfect invitation to step outside and move your body. But no matter where you are, walking remains one of the simplest and most powerful ways to support your mental and physical health. Research shows that walking calms the stress response and boosts the feel-good hormones that lift your mood and brighten your day.
A simple walk can offer you the time to sort through your thoughts. A brisk walk five days a week can significantly reduce stress levels. One study found that physical activity, like walking, can help decrease cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and increase endorphins, which have mood-boosting effects.
Your tip for the week: For a calming reset, walk outside in nature for 20 minutes five days this week and let go of stress and anxiety.
So my question for you this week: What works for you? Do you walk for mental clarity, creative thinking or simple exercise? Share in the comments.
I look forward to hearing from you. In the meantime, thank you for reading, subscribing, and sharing my work.
