You'll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.
—John C. Maxwell
Good morning, dear reader,
First, thank you. Whether you’ve been with me since I started writing about tea and health or recently discovered my work, I’m so grateful you’re here.
I find myself once again at a crossroads with my newsletter, and I’m excited to share this journey with you.
When I first launched Steeped Stories, it evolved naturally from my tea business as I wrote about tea, herbal blends, and their incredible benefits. But as you’ve likely noticed, this newsletter has grown beyond those origins. The more I explore and research the transformative power of small habits and incremental improvements, the clearer it becomes that our daily routines shape the entire trajectory of our health.
For years, I’ve researched, experimented with, and written about tea and herbs as remedies and daily habits that heal. My background in clinical nursing, combined with my writing through educational initiatives, freelance projects, or editorial roles, has consistently informed this work.
I’m expanding this space to include more of what helps us heal, gently, consistently, and naturally. So, I’m changing the name of this newsletter to Quiet Acts of Healing. Don’t worry, your email will still display my name as the sender, so no changes are needed on your end.
Why the change?
Because I believe small, intentional wellness habits are the compound interest of health. Your morning tea. The herbs in your food. The daily walks you take. These are quiet acts of healing that build vitality over time. It’s a way of being.
This new name captures what we’re exploring together: the daily practices that serve us. It's in these quiet, consistent actions—the ones we perform every single day—where true transformation happens.
But of course, we’re still drinking plenty of tea over here! I’ll continue writing about all kinds of teas and herbs, and sharing their health benefits. It’s in my DNA. But I’m expanding our conversation, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, to include all the simple practices that often go unnoticed yet yield the most profound results.
Quiet Acts of Healing will focus on the overlooked elements that have a major impact on our health, well-being, and mindset. Because small changes really do yield profound results. I’ve seen this truth play out time and again.
What’s new?
A broader lens on healing, and an upcoming course I’ll be releasing this fall, is deeply rooted in this mission. It’s all about educating you with evidence-based practices that provide the tools to maintain your health and prevent disease.
Nearly 90% of healthcare spending goes toward treating disease after it happens. But true healing begins long before that—with the small choices we make every day.
Quiet Acts of Healing is about creating lasting wellness through small, powerful choices.
Thank you for following along with me. Here’s to living life well, one small habit at a time.
With gratitude and a warm cup of tea ♡
Mary Ann
P.S. It may be quiet over here, but it’s worth it if you’re into small healing habits that make sense.
Mary Ann, I love it! As the atmosphere keeps changing and more and more people are either under insured or have no insurance at all, Prevention is key. I have always believed that. I’m excited and look forward to what’s the come. All the best, Kathleen
