April Showers? Use Rainy Days for a Cozy Herbal Steam Inhalation
✨ 1% Better Mondays: Seasonal Tip with Medicinal Herbs
In every breath, there is healing.
—Hippocrates
Good Monday morning!
April showers bringing you down?
Try a cozy herbal steam inhalation. Traditional healers used this to clear sinuses—science shows steam reduces congestion by 30%.
Herbal steam inhalation is a nod to Hippocrates and nature’s remedies. Its healing power emphasizes the practice's restorative nature.
This week’s tip: Pour boiled water into a bowl, add herbs like eucalyptus, and inhale the steam for 5 - 10 minutes under a towel. If you don't have fresh herbs, you can use 3-6 drops of eucalyptus essential oil to open the airways.
Studies show that Eucalyptus essential oil contains cineole or eucalyptol, which has anti-inflammatory and mucolytic effects in upper respiratory viral infections and soothes the airways when inhaled.
NOTE: For the best aromatherapy experience, select organic essential oils rather than artificially created synthetic scents. Do not ingest essential oils.
